Ailey Crow, PhD
Ailey has a diverse background in scientific research developing & applying novel imaging tools and data science to disciplines spanning oncology to neuroscience in academic, biotech & startup environments. Recently she served as a Senior Data Scientist at Ionpath, where she developed and implemented a digital pathology pipeline for extracting scientific insights from multi-dimensional image data. Prior to that, she spent 6 years as a Senior Computational & Optical Systems Engineer at the Deisseroth Lab, at Stanford, overseeing imaging operations, technology development, and managing data storage and compute. She also ran an imaging core as part of the Angiogenesis Research group at Genentech. Ailey holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California at Berkeley, and has a rich background in mentoring, teaching, and science outreach. As a Research Specialist at the Brainwave Learning Center at Synapse School, Ailey is thrilled to connect with researchers, teachers and students with the greater goal of exploring brain dynamics in the context of learning.
