Skyler Castillo-Wilson
Skyler Castillo-Wilson serves as the Research Director for the Educational Neuroscience Initiative. Skyler holds a B.S. in Biophysics & Biochemistry and M.S. in Neuroscience, both from Stanford. Previously, Skyler has worked in Visual Neuroscience at Stanford's School of Medicine, focusing on single unit recording and eye-tracking psychophysics. In the neurotech industry, Skyler worked with Neuralink to expand and optimize their Pre-Clinical Research pipeline, overseeing Scientists and Engineers working towards FDA approval. He has also built out a cryonics laboratory, with the goal of democratizing acute slice electrophysiology by widening access to tissues needed for foundational scientific discovery. At SENSI, his interests lie in translation of educational neuroscience discoveries to a broad public audience, creating replicable scientific infrastructure, and expanding access to insights created through our research. He is very excited to work with such a talented group and ensure an efficient research operation. Skyler also enjoys golfing, fishing, reciting fun facts, and encouraging others.
